No one realized a major storm was brewing until it hit. Then all hell broke loose. Internet marketers and investors are still crawling out of the rubble.

It started in early February when Stormpay, one of the major ecurrency processors online, insisted on being the only ecurrency processor for certain autosurf programs.

Shortly after this unprecedented, shocking demand for "exclusivity" was granted by program administrators (in some but not all cases), Stormpay froze the accounts of several programs, including the hugely popular 12DailyPro autosurf program that had attracted more than 300,000 members since last autumn.

Stormpay not only froze the accounts of the programs it suddenly suspected of illegal or unethical business practices-- it also sucked all the money out of those program administrators' accounts and, in many cases, also sucked money out of the bank accounts and credit card accounts of members without authorization by them.

My own meager funds in Stormpay were totally wiped out and "chargebacks" were taken from the credit card account linked to my Stormpay account.

Naturally, this magnitude of financial loss and its impact on thousands of Internet marketers has been dramatic and traumatic. A major, highly destructive storm takes awhile to recover from, and so will these recent Stormpay actions. The legal battles have just begun.

Be assured that recovery is underway, however, and is being led by courageous, creative and resourceful Internet business leaders and program administrators as well as ordinary marketers and investors who refuse to be intimidated by the terrorist tactics used by Stormpay.

Despite the havoc wrought by Stormpay, and the serious challenges involved in working with old and new ecurrency processors online, it is clear that the Internet is still a very exciting and profitable marketplace and that opportunities still abound for those willing to blaze new trails in the way the world does business.
